On November 19th myself and Emma Young have organised a kayak along the river Wear with some other members of our office. This will present us with a variety of challenges! Namely having the foresight to get the tides right and doing our best to avoid the lovely cold water that winter provides. 

We are doing this in memory of Maddy Lawrence and the charity that has been set up in her name, Maddy’s mark. Maddy sadly passed away in March, aged 20, after suffering from a rugby injury, whilst playing for her university rugby team. The charity has been set up to support two great causes: Women’s rugby and mental health. Any donations you are able to provide to help this amazing cause would be greatly appreciated.
