Hi Everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. This year I am going to run the British 10k for Contact the Elderly.

Contact the Elderly provides a lifeline of friendship for lonely or isolated elderly people by organising tea parties on Sundays. It is a simple idea but one that has a huge impact in helping older people overcome a loss of confidence, or depression and reconnect with the community around them.

Each group of  6-10 older members and volunteers meet one Sunday a month. Volunteer drivers pick up members from their homes and go to a volunteer hosts' home where for a couple of hours people can chat over a cuppa.

Donating what you can afford will help Contact the Elderly to support its existing groups and form new ones in the areas we do not currently operate. We know there are older people out there that are lonely and with your help we can help relive this feeling.
