Matthew Sturgeon is raising money for A Bit of a Break
In memory of Angela Sturgeon
Donations cannot currently be made to this page
A Bit of a Break is a portfolio of unfilled time in self-catering cottages to offer to families receiving palliative care. Our aim is to continue to increase the number of stays so that we can open-up the chance of a short break to growing numbers of people. It is inspired by Angela Sturgeon.

Story

This his Ange's page. It charts all the brilliant fundraising either done by her or inspired by her up to the end of 2018. It will remain an open account if you ever feel the urge to donate in her memory.

At the end of 2011 Angela Sturgeon was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer. During her illness, Angela campaigned tirelessly raising over £42,000 for cancer-related charities. She loved spending precious time away with her family & friends where she could have a break from hospitals and treatment, feel normal again and build lasting memories. She wanted to help others in a similar situation. So she raised a further £13,000 to set up A Bit of a Break before her leaving planet earth.

Fundraising events included: Her epic bike ride around the coast of Donegal with her family. A Bit of a Doo, Mike & Andy's Dales Way walk. Mikes Long Mynd Marathon, Gemmas half Marathon, Understated swishing events, Sock selling etc etc.

Thankyou for all your support. Now that A Bit of a Break is a registered charity for future events you can set up your own page linked to the 'A Bit of a Break' charity page.

A Bit of a Break is a registered charity and our aim is to increase the number of stays on offer, year on year, so that we can open-up the chance of a short break to growing numbers of people.
