Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Page.
In May 2018 Mum was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer and we were told that it was terminal. It was an aggressive cancer that she fought bravely and the chemotherapy helped give her a little more time but once it stopped, she deteriorated quickly.
Having lost my Mum on 19th January 2019 I wanted to challenge myself in doing something in her memory whilst raising money for the charity that supported her and my family in her final days and hours. In 2020 Mum would have turned 70, I have therefore set myself the challenge to run 700km in 12 months and have set myself a target to raise £700 for this amazing charity. I will be running various park runs, 10kms and half marathons as well as the training runs which should hopefully get me to my 700km and exceeding my £700 target.
I would be extremely grateful for any donations made, even a £1 can make such a difference so please donate what you are able to.
Please read below to find more about the work Severn Hospice do.
Severn Hospice is with families from the moment they're referred to its care for as long as they need it, and it does this every day, all day for anyone in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales who needs that help.It does this for them for free, but it is not without cost and it can't happen without you.For every £1 you donate, they will spend 86p directly on care - and use the remaining 14p to make another £1.Last year, all those individual donations helped us provide £9.88 million of caring services.Thank you - you're amazing!
