The challenge I am going to be undergoing is to walk 100km (62 miles) in 24 hours as part of the Cotswold Way Challenge (https://www.cotswoldwaychallenge.com). 

As part of the challenge I have decided to fundraise for the charity Headway Swindon. This charity means a lot to me as I underwent treatment and support through the charity after a mountain biking accident that occurred three years ago. As a result of the accident I ended up with a life threatening head injury, but through the support and help at Headway I was able to make a full recovery and now three years later I’m able to continue my life to the full! 

In the past three years I have volunteered at Headway to help give back to those who helped me during my recovery. Since my recovery and volunteering I have become more aware of how crucial a charity like this is for those who need support and recovery in order to help them also move on with their lifes. 

Therefore, through taking part in a challenge like this that will push me out of my comfort zone and test my mental and physical ability to complete the 100km will be an amazing accomplishment. As well as, being able to fundraise as much money as possible for this deserving cause!
