UPDATE: Im back form Wales and that was by far one of the hardest things ive done (im soo un-fit) my whole body is hurting but its worth it if I reach my target :) It took 3hrs to reach the summit and 2.5 hrs to get back down.
Imagine being alone in world with no one to support you not even your mother or father. This is the reality Orphans have to face each day. This is why on Sunday 24th April 2011 I’m going to be trekking up Mount Snowdon to raise money for Orphan Children.
Snowdon stands 1,085 meters (3,560 feet) the summit has 200 inches of rain per year, and can reach temperatures of 30 centigrade in summer and plummet to -20 in the winter, add to this winds of up to 150mph and it can be more like -50. The summit building at the top can be covered in ice and snow between November and April :|
Please donate whatever you can and wish me luck because I’ve never done anything like this before. Those who know me will know I have a screw in my ankle so long walks are something I avoid.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now. Giving something small is better than giving nothing at all.
