Story

I'm running the iconic Great North Run this year and wanted to do some good for a local charity.

I've set my fundraising target at £211, which is £10 for each of the 21.1km of the race. That should give me the incentive to keep going the full distance!

PAWS rescues and rehomes animals in the Calder Valley area and we were lucky enough to get our dog, Chance, from them last year. Like all charities, PAWS has really struggled over the pandemic with nearly all of its usual fundraising routes wipe out. So I'd like to raise a little money for them to help the other animals that they care for find their forever home, just like Chance.

Anything you can give, no matter how small, will be very much appreciated by PAWS.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you!

About the charity

PAWS is dedicated to helping animals in need around the Pennine towns of Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. We operate a no kill policy. We rescue and rehome animals and care for those waiting for a home. We rely on volunteers and donations to fund our work and hold regular fundraising events.
