We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

Hi my name is Adam Walker and I am a Sales Controller for Salton Europe selling a number of different  small electrical appliances brands including Russell Hobbs, GF  and Haden. I will be attempting to Swim the English Channel at the end July 2008 for a fantastic charity 'Make a Wish Foundation.' The money goes towards providing children with terminal illnessses the wish they want the most in the world, so your money is so important!! The reason for the challenge is that it is arguably the most difficult endurance challenge on the planet with more people having climbed Mt Everest. The shortist distance is 21 miles, however with tides it is anticipated over 30 miles. It should take approx 14 hours of constant swimming. I will have to battle with sea sickness, mental and physical exhaustion, potential hyperthermia and make sure I swim fast enough to beat the tides which change every 6 hours. However I am really up for the challenge and can't wait as it is for such a worth while cause!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. If you could dig deep and sponsor me online for my Channel attempt it would be massively appreciated.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Make-A-Wish Foundation UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Kind Regards

Adam Walker
