We at the fun loving Claims Service One at Admiral are organising a series of events over the coming 12 months, to raise money for our designated charity - Christian Lewis Trust.
PLEASE READ BELOW FOR DETAILS ON THE NEXT EVENT - HIGHLIGHTED IN BLUE.
We are holding small monthly fund raising days within our workplace and a few major events such as sponsored walks, and other events which will be updated in due course. We will be updating our page with numerous photos and a video showing our progress throughout the year.
We chose to support The Christian Lewis Trust as it is a local children's charity which looks to help fund terminally ill children live their dream holidays. We believe strongly in its values and hope to raise as much as we can to go towards making these dreams a reality.

In April 2010 - We held a home made cake sale in the canteen. We also created a guess the Bunny's name game. We raised around £400 doing this!_________________________________________________
In May 2010 - We asked members of Service One to give any unwanted and unused items into us and thus we created the Service One Hamper - We again made a few hundred pounds doing this.

On Saturday the 7th August 2010, the 10 of us took part in a sponsored relay walk from our office in Cardiff (Capital Tower), to the office in Swansea (Admiral Group House). This walk was just over 40 miles.
First Group: Louise Darnell, Dom Browne, Josie StJohn, Scott Miller, Natalie Davies and Jenna O'Sullivan.
Second Group: Paul Collins, Caroline Polley, Mark Goodyear and Kain Roberts.
The First Group left at 6.30am from Capital Tower. It was a dark, cold and wet morning for them. However, they kept it together and morale was high.
Many hours later, after getting lost on Cowbridge Road they arrived in Bridgend.
The Second Group left Bridgend Train Station at 11.00am, heading for home, Admiral Group House. It was sunny, with some showers, and walked on an endless track through farmland.
Shortly after 7.00pm they arrived on solid ground.
With as many blisters as we all had, and the aches and pains that set in on the Sunday, overall it was a great achievement for all knowing the effort we had put in to raise money for The Christian Lewis Trust.

In September 2010 - We again had a very successful cake sale, also having a local bakery donate some of their finest cakes and tarts. Thanks to all those who donated their cooking expertise and those who bought the cakes to assist in our £10,000 target.

In October 2010 - We held a Halloween Trick or treat Bag. We sold them for £1 per bag, some had some tasty treats, which didn't just include sweets, but an opportunity to win a day off, half day holiday and flexi time etc.

In November and December 2010 - We sold out Top 10 Department Service One DVD of Grease. It had the official video as well as several outtakes. Again where we had raised more funds!

In January 2011 - We are going to do another Service One hamper raffle. It was a great success last time, and now we have some donated wicker basket hampers full of goodies, plus the extras donated by our colleagues.
We are going to continue with our chosen charity until March 2011.
