Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity bringing individuals, families and professionals together to beat muscle-wasting conditions.

Story

I'm raising money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign because my 5 year-old son Alexis has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a devastating progressive muscle-wasting disorder, for which there is no cure. The Muscular Dystrophy Campaign fund vital research, as well as providing support to people suffering from all types of Muscular Dystrophy and their families.

By running the 2013 London marathon I raised over £6000, a huge success which I'd love to get close to again this year. Whilst hugely rewarding it was also gruelling and agonising, but I know thats nothing compared with what Alexis will face as he gets older unless we can find an effective treatment for his condition. So please do sponsor me, because every £ makes a big difference to Alexis and the thousands like him suffering from Muscular Dystrophy.

Thanks Ady.
