When I completed the Velothon last year, I promised myself "never again" - months of training followed by a 140km, 5 1/2 hour gruelling ride through the Welsh countryside. Over time, the feeling faded and I started looking at the positives - not just the ride itself, but the fact that the money I raised went to a cause I cared about.

A few weeks a few weeks ago I was at a charity event for Velindre Cancer Care, a local hospital who have helped a number of members of my family. I've seen first-hand the support they've given, so it seemed natural to support them in return.
