Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 13 March 2016, Sarah and I will be doing the Marsden March, a sponsored 14 mile walk from the Royal Marsden in Chelsea, London to the Royal Marsden in Sutton, Surrey. If you have a few spare pounds, please do sponsor us and all donations will go to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Your support would mean a lot to us!
Why are we doing the walk?
Over the past four years we have had a lot of first hand dealings with the Royal Marsden hospitals and during this time have found it to be a truly world class cancer hospital with the most caring and talented surgeons, doctors, nurses and all other staff.
My dad was treated by the Head and Neck team at the Royal Marsden in Chelsea. Despite receiving the best possible care and treatment he sadly passed away in April 2015 after a brave, year long battle with cancer. We’ll be doing the Marsden March in his memory.
My mum has also been battling cancer for the last 4 years and has received treatment from the Royal Marsden in Surrey. Without their first class research and treatment she wouldn't be here today. Her fight continues and she’ll be very much in our thoughts during the walk.
We're raising money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity to in some small way help them continue the life-changing work they do; to support the treatment and care they provide and to help contribute to their ongoing research to discover new ways to treat different types of cancers.
