Sue Ryder is here to make sure everyone approaching the end of their life or living with grief can get the support they need. There is no one size fits all when it comes to how we cope and the help we need, but with our support, no one has to face dying or grief alone. We are there when it matters.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm a resident at Sue Ryder Care - The Chantry and have called the Chantry home since May 2007.  I've been attending Gainsborough Sport Centre in Ipswich for many months now and was looking for a way to support Sue Ryder Care and raise much needed funds to go towards more activities for residents and day care attendees at the Chantry.  I know how much being busy and taking part in activities can build self-esteem.

Sue Ryder care gives me the opportunity to live with other people who have Multiple Sclerosis and I want to give something back by taking on this virtual rowing challenge.

With the help of the fundraising team I have devised this vitual London to Paris rowing trip which will see me covering 771km in distance at a ratio of 10 metres rowed to 1km on the rowing machine.

The journey is based on leaving Westminster Bridge down the Thames and around North Foreland to Dover.  From Dover I will cross the Channel to Le Havre, rowing up the Seine to Rouen and then continuing on through six locks to the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

I will be taking on this distance over a period of weeks as I go to Gainsborough Sports Centre once a week. I'm aiming to have the row completed over 6 visits.

The money which I raise from this event will go towards more activities at The Chantry for me and my friends.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Sue Ryder Care gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
