Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

We are Ahlam Conti and Priya Aiyer, two bubbly architects from Mace Ltd., and we will be attempting a three-hour relay run on an air runner treadmill at the Anytime Fitness Gym in Hertford near where our office is based. The event will take place from 12pm-3pm on Thursday 11th April 2019, which is World Parkinson's Day. We would appreciate anyone in the area to pop in and see how we do!

2019 marks 50 years since Parkinson's UK was founded. Today, £18 of sponsorship can fund an hour of advice and support via a dedicated helpline.

Ahlam was diagnosed with Parkinson's in early 2018, but has been a positive force in supporting other individuals affected by the condition, by also giving talks and attending social meetings in Hertford. She has maintained an enthusiastic attitude and brings happiness to those who know her.

Priya is a regular member at Anytime Fitness Gym in Hertford and through regular training, she has lost nearly a stone and a half to date, while maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She is dedicated to push herself and her fitness to join Ahlam in this challenge.
