The BumbleBee Bus is a mobile clinic that offers free medical care to vulnerable migrants in Greece, with the aim to provide front-line medical services.

Many of those who crossed the border into Turkey have tried to make the perilous journey across the Aegean Sea into Greece, hoping to find a future for their families. Some have made the crossing, many have not. Although the Greek authorities provide for their basic needs, many vulnerable refugees are living in overcrowded camps, with little or no access to essential medical treatment and are therefore at severe risk of disease and illness. 

Since the beginning of the Syrian war, medical facilities have been consistently targeted. The inability for many to be treated has only been compounded by the dangerous journeys that our brothers and sisters have been forced to make. Trying to reach a place of safety has come at a great cost to their physical and psychological well-being.

The BumbleBee Bus is a mobile clinic that offers free medical care to vulnerable refugees in Greece, with the aim to provide front-line medical services. Our team of medically trained staff volunteer throughout the year to work on the BumbleBee Bus to reach camps that have minimal or no medical care facilities. The bus will provide initial assessments of acute illness, first aid and trauma care for injuries and referral services for the chronically ill. 

Future plans include a mobile dental and eye clinic.
