Cycling York to Cambridge. And back! in one ride! · 16 March 2009
Very late on May 29th 2009 I will start a 600km bike ride that uses the York-Cambridge-York ride route. Starting and finishing in Beverley the route will include stops to provide evidence of the ride at Howden, York , Howden, Beverley, Lincoln,Boston, Wisbech and Cambridge and thats just the outward leg!!!!
The return leg will have controls at Wisbech, Boston, Lincoln and Beverley.
In all, thats 605 KM (or 375 miles in old money) and I aim to complete the whole ride in less than 40 hours from start to finish, including any stops and breaks.
I'm doing this to raise money for the BHF and urge everyone to donate generously .
The BHF have a vision of a world in which people do not die prematurely of heart disease.
They'll achieve this through pioneering research, vital prevention activity and ensuring quality care and support for everyone living with heart disease and will only fulfil that vision through raising donations to continue their important work.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
