A few months ago I came across an organization working to improve maternal health care, after reading their mission I decided to apply and assist in their project. The Maternal Aid Association has selected me to join their 2017 project. The maternal aid assocaition is a student led organisation that works to improve maternal health care in resource poor settings with the aim of empowering women, helping supporting families as well as to raise awareness of maternal health issues.
Allah has blessed me with a mother whom has educated, supported, guided and enriched my life. Mothers stand by us through the most difficult times in our lives, whilst we sleep they pray, whilst were down they lift us up and when we pass they are the key to our paradise.
Mothers in under privileged countries die during childbirth from minor complications, I ask you to please support this campaign to assist in improving maternal healthcare.
Bangladesh has a poor medical infrastructure, access to healthcare is low. Eighty-five per cent of women give birth outside of medical institutions and only 24 per cent are assisted by skilled health personnel. Cultural barriers and traditions as well as poverty and lack of information prevent women from accessing maternal and newborn health services (UNICEF, 2017).
God loves and cares for us more than anybody, and he especially loves and cares for those who love and care for other. Mothers have been given elevated position in Islam, we are constantly reminded in the Quran as to the importance of mothers. I present you with this opportunity for you to do what you can and help in raising funds to support struggling mothers and new-born babies in the under developed world.
Please support the campaign by donating & sharing it.
