Story

On Friday the 1st of December I will be spending the night sleeping rough with homeless people in Birkenhead.  I am hoping to raise funds and awareness to the benefit of these less fortunate people.  Also, I feel this experience will enable me to have a better insight to their plight and struggles.  In the current climate of financial austerity, many people can find themselves in a homeless situation through no fault of their own. Therefore places like the Charles Thompson Mission are paramount for the welfare of the vulnerable.

Serving the people of Birkenhead and the Wirral since 1892, the Mission looks to help men and women who are homeless, poor and needy, out of poverty. We provide hot food, clothing, toiletries, other basic essentials, along with much love, care and compassion. For many, the Mission is a place to come for friendship, food, support and advice. It’s a safe place that offers help. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to play our part in this community.
