Alandale Parachute Jump – in aid of JDRF · 22 April 2009
Hello!
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving Homepage.
Seeing as I never seem able to do anything sensible - I'm now throwing myself out of a plane at 10,000 ft - which is the result of a bet made a few months ago.
(No alcohol was involved in the making of this bet - honestly!)
So, seeing as I have committed to do this, I have spoken with the JDRF about raising money on their behalf - who are very happy to be associated with this event.
The little boy on the left is Max Bulman (the apple of my eye!)
Max was diagnosed with Type 1 (Insulin Dependant) Diabetes before he was 3.
As a result of this condition, Max has a carefully monitored and controlled diet, regular blood sugar tests (at least 10 times a day) and has to be injected with Insulin before each and every meal (and each night before bed)
Uncontrolled, Max could go into a coma - thankfully Mum keeps a very close eye on him and works very hard to make sure he is well controlled (and well looked after).
The JDRF are working hard to find a cure for this condition - which affects more and more children every year.
Please contribute what you can.
Thanks
Dave Bulman
