Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Those of you that know me as an ordinary bloke that is fast approaching 50...a tad over weight, probably drinks and eats to much...so why the heck decide to run my first half marathon???
truth is, my Pops was diagnose with Alzheimer's a few years back now...and i am watching him get a bit worse month by month.
my mum is his full time carer and works very hard looking after the old bugger...so i thought what can i do to try and help a worthy cause?
Well this is the answer!! running 13 miles...
Hi everyone....just to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone that sponsored and supported me in the GNR...i completed the run in 2hrs 16mins...which for an overweight 49 year old isn't to bad!!! (apparently)
The overall race was a fantastic experience however a lot harder than i had imagined!! so may blooming hills!! I am glad that i trained properly and respected the challenge.
I want to say thanks to Liz for her support and assistance on race day.. xx
Thanks to Gail for her training tips and injury help (couldn't of done it with out your help Gail) xx
And last but not least NORM my training buddy, again without his help it wouldn't of happened!!
Cheers everyone...
Not so "BIG AL" xx
