We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

You can't swim the English Channel with no preparation, so a few of us Cayman Island's swimmers have decided to swim the 5.3 miles across the North Sound instead.

We will be swimming from Rum Point to Barkers Head in West Bay, braving Portugese Man O'War Jellyfish, Caribbean Reef Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks and the recently reported Bull Sharks in Cayman's waters.

This should take us between three and four hours, assuming our arms stay on and we aren't eaten by a big fish, or paralysed by floating aimless lumps of jelly.

I am sure you'll agree that cancer research is essential, as so many people are suddenly and devastatingly affected by cancer, so please sponsor as much or as litle as you can.
