The 'Barton Babes' aim to raise as much as possible.  Alice's mum and dad would like to say a HUGE thank you to Helen, who kindly volunteered to accompany Alice (not too sure if she is totally mad or brave!), otherwise they would have had to decide which parent would be drowned at sea.

Alice and Helen will swim from Boscombe Pier to Bournemouth Pier on 19th July 2009. The distance is approximately 1.4 miles. Alice is 10 years old, and Helen is 10 and a little bit more. This is a tough open water swim, so dig deep and give the 'Barton Babes' your support.
