Yorkshire's Brain Tumour Charity funds innovative, world-class, Yorkshire-based research to find better treatments and ultimately a cure. Whilst we are waiting for a cure we ensure that people living with a brain tumour and their loved ones across Yorkshire receive the support they need.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

My daughter Danielle’s (aged 5) daddy, Bill Malecki was 44 on 6th December 2005, the day before he was diagnosed with an incurable, aggressive brain tumour (Glioblastoma Multiforme). Despite his very positive attitude, surgery and 6 gruelling weeks of radiotherapy Bill sadly died peacefully on 13th April 2006.

This debilitating and devastating cancer continues to defy medical knowledge and treatment. Please help me to raise funds and awareness to support research into adult and child brain tumours at St James Hospital, Leeds with the hope that one day a successful treatment will be developed to save others from this fatal disease.

I aim to cycle the 150 miles from Walney to Wear (W2W) in September in memory of my best friend Bill.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Andrea's Gift will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
