Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

You may have heard about the recent avalanche on Ama Dablam that destroyed Camp 3, killing my colleague Duncan Williams and his Sherpa, Mingma Nuru, as well as two Swedes and their two Sherpas.

All the Sherpas were married and have left wives and children who need immediate assistance.  The Himalayan Trust have very generously agreed to support this appeal.

A full description of the tragedy is at: http://www.everestnews.com/2006expeditions/dia11152006.htm

If you've been to Nepal, plan to go or even if you have only had the chance to read books about it, please give generously.  In Nepal, any donation will go a long way.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: HIMALAYAN TRUST will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
