Thank you for viewing my Marie Curie Cancer Care Fundraiser page
I am doing the Grand Canyon Trek 2017. This is on behalf of my mum, who lost her mother Lilly (my grandmother) at the age of 24 from cancer, and who also had the privilege of being cared by Marie Curie nurses in her last few months. Unfortunately, I never got to meet Lilly, but from how my mum described her... She was an amazing and strong woman.
I would love to be able to raise £4000 to help other families in situations like my mums. I would like to be able to give people with a terminal illness, a chance where they can just be themselves, and not to feel suffering, sadness or fear.I cant imagine putting myself in anyone's shoe's like Lilly and my mums, the strength people have deep down is unreal.
I feel honoured to be given the chance to raise a large amount of money for this amazing charity.Nurses all over the country working for Marie Curie, deserve a trophy! and I can not comprehend how hard their job can be, yet so achieving.
Doing the trek makes me feel extremely nervous, as I have never gone out of my comfort zone in respect of the; independence being abroad, extreme training and the intensity of the trek itself. This will be a huge challenge for me, as I have never been on a walk longer than 3 hours...When I did my legs ached :-)
Please help me to spread the word about Marie Curie Cancer Care, and please pop a small donation on my page, I really appreciate it. Thank you xxx
