Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

As some of you may already know, just over a year ago my mum had to undergo open heart surgery. As well as having a mechanical valve put in place she also had to undergo a heart bypass. I would go into details of how and what was cut open, removed or recycled, but my knees are already going... needless to say it was a major and scary operation. However frightening and painful though, it saved her life and for that I am forever grateful of The British Heart Foundation, not only for their support but for their ongoing research.

I've never seen someone so poorly and in so much pain in my whole life, however mum constantly surprised me in her determination and will power to get back on her feet and to get better. She is the bravest lady I have ever met and this is just my way of giving something back and to let her know how proud I am. I hope my fundraising can help others who were in my mums position and make them better again.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and please no matter the amount please please please donate and make a little difference today.
