A mile with me for Myeloma UK · 20 July 2017

Myeloma UK is the only organisation in the UK dealing exclusively with myeloma. We provide information and support to patients and their families and help myeloma patients live longer, with a better quality of life by accelerating the discovery, development of and access to new treatments.

Story

Back in July last year my fabulous mum - Ingrid  -  underwent a stem cell transplant as part of her ongoing treatment for Myeloma - a nasty, debilitating and incurable blood cancer. Although she’s not out of the woods, she’s doing OK right now and we’ve learnt to take each month, and each set of blood results, as they come.

With Mum in a constant fight for her health, I am on a mission to raise money and awareness for Myeloma UK to try and help improve the lives of patients suffering with this horrible illness for which there is currently no cure. So many of you have already given so much, for which my family and I are truly grateful.

By 16th July 2018 (my 40th birthday) I have promised to run 400 miles in a bid to raise £4000 and I have decided it will be so much more fun if friends and family and interested others were to join me for a mile. It will definitely make the challenge a bit sweeter
