Story

I believe all of us can make the world a better place, whether in our backyards or the other side of the world.  I was brought up with this belief, largely inspired by my Dad.

With two kids of my own, it’s important to me that they understand what social responsibility is and be inspired to give back.  Based upon my experience, I believe there is no better way to teach them than by setting the example that was set for me.

This September, I had an opportunity to represent my company, Qlik, on a supporter trip with WeSeeHope.  This organization exists to help support children and impoverished communities in Africa, where many are orphaned, isolated and dehumanized by poverty.  WeSeeHope gives these communities the hope and tools they need to transform their lives and create a better future.

I experienced this firsthand.  Throughout my week in Malawi, I traveled to several communities with my colleagues to see WeSeeHope's programs in action.  The challenges these people face are real - and staggering.  And yet, what struck me most throughout the week, was the pervasive sense of hope they have from the work WeSeeHope does in their communities.  It was an experience that I will never forget.

Please join me in supporting WeSeeHope.  They make a significant difference in the lives of some of the world's most vulnerable.  Qlik will match any funds that I raise prior to December 6, and every last bit helps to support WeSeeHope’s mission.  Thanks for your support.
