WE DID IT!!! We have now all done the jump now we need to raise the last bits of cash. It was pretty hare-raising (boom boom!) so dig deep if you haven't already - it is for a great cause.
This site will close on 21st September so please do donate if you haven't all ready - we are very close to our target altogether and need only the last few pounds!!
When 2 children in my reception class became ill with cancers within two years, it made staff members at our school feel moved to find some way of helping. We are nervous about jumping but when faced with 4 and 5 year old children who are undergoing chemo, our feat seemed small by comparison.
The children have borne their treatment for Leukaemia and Neuroblastoma so bravely that we felt we needed to demonstrate a bit of bravery too.
On Sunday 22nd July and Sunday 29th July, various staff members will free-fall from the sky, parachuting the final metres to the ground.
We will be joined by Kenny, the class rabbit - pictured in his flying gear (he's a PUPPET!! Please don't call the RSPCA!) as we try to raise as much money as we can for CLIC Sargent - a charity that has offered so much support to the families concerned, and to us as teachers.
We did wonder whether the 5 of us might manage to raise £10,000 between us - a pound for each foot that we are falling. So if any businesses want to add a generous donation, that would be great. We will wear your T-shirt etc in our press coverage!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: CLIC Sargent will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Can I just point out that I am terrified of heights, jumping, rabbits, parachutes, the sky and everything to do with risking injury and pain. So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support. Amy Johnston (and Kenny the amazing free-falling rabbit ) X
