I am taking part in the Race For Life Pretty Muddy event this year to raise money for Cancer Research because its hit my family and my friends very hard over the last few years.  I am racing in honour of some very close family and friends that have been lost suddenly to the disease, they are all so very much missed.  I also had my own story with cancer when I discovered a malignant melanoma on my arm in 2000, it had unfortunately penetrated the top layer of my skin and I have not only a nasty scar on the top of my arm but also an ongoing fear that it could come back at any time.

Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring me, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring me, we will beat cancer sooner.
