A few months ago I ambitiously entered myself into the Hackney half to really cement my roots in London and motivate me to get running... No one will be surprised that I did not get running. 

The time ticked past and now we are here and I thought if I'm going to do it I'd better make it worth it. So Basis is the charity I have chosen to run for and I'd love you to donate anything you can!

I first found out about Basis several years ago, when I saw a documentary about the Red light zone in Leeds. It really opened my eyes to the dangers facing vulnerable women in the UK and just how easy it could be to get into a similar situation. 

Basis Yorkshire empowers women and young people to stay safe and make positive choices. They are a specialist voluntary orgnaisation that works specifically with sexworkers (indoor and streetbased ) in Leeds and with young people who are being sexually exploited or who have experienced this in the past across Yorskhire.
