John O’Groats to Land’s End – “at a walking pace!”
Xenophon Kelsey MBE
October 2011 - November 2012
So what? Lots of people walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End – and most of them do it to raise funds for a worthy cause. Well, I’m doing it to raise funds for my own two particular musical charities:-
Vacation Chamber Orchestras (www.vaco.net)
VaCO is responsible for providing an extremely high level of professional chamber music coaching to aspiring young musicians, who are attending music conservatoires, universities and schools throughout the country.
Ripon St Cecilia Orchestra (www.st-cecilia.org.uk)
StCO works to produce classical concerts of a very high standard in the Ripon area, as well as playing an active role in music-making throughout North Yorkshire by liaising with a variety of other local and regional arts’ organisations.
Your donations will be put to good use to ensure the longevity of both organisations, as well as helping us with the following exciting projects:
Resident String Quartet
Student Conductor-in-Residence
Student Composer-in-Residence
Residential Centre for Chamber Music
If you want any more information about Andante, VaCO or StCO, please do not hesitate to drop me an email! (E: mail@vaco.net)
Thank you in advance for your kind donation, which will be put to very good use, to ensure the training of our precious young musicians for a while to come!
With best wishes,
Xen J
