Hello, and thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!!! 

First of all a massive thank you to those of you who have already sponsored me or have attended one of my fundraising events 

So what am I asking for your support with?! Well I recently returned from Africa where I completed the challenge of a lifetime and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, all in aid of raising a significant amount of money for VSO and the people they help.

The first stop on my trip was a VSO project where I was able to see first hand the difference we are making through this initiative. I had the opportunity to meet some of the local children and their families who VSO will be helping with the money we have raised.  Trust me this is a truly worthy cause and your donations really will make a massive difference to these amazing people.

Those of you who know me well know what a challenge this was me, and I'm proud to say I actually made it to the summit (hence the photo!). I put in a lot of training before the trek and a huge thank you to those of you who joined me for those long walks and the trip up Ben Nevis (thanks Jo). 

So why VSO? VSO is the largest independent charity in the world, working through volunteers. Instead of sending money, food or clothes, they send skilled people from a range of professions who want to make a difference. Your sponsorship will support VSO projects in Tanzania. VSO Tanzania aims to reduce poverty by working with government and non state agencies to develop their capacity to improve access to, quality and relevance of education, HIV and AIDS services and to strengthen the ability of disadvantaged people to make a viable living.

Visiting this site and reading this info was the easy bit, the tough bit now is digging deep and sponsoring me online to support this very important cause - please do!
