Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Some of you may know that this is a charity very close to my heart as one of my dearest friends died of breast cancer a couple of years ago and since I completed the Edinburgh Moonwalk last year, another has been diagnosed (although, thankfully, after surgery and chemo is on the road to recovery).
Well, despite saying 'never again' after crossing the line last year I found myself doing the London walk this year (how do I get myself into these things!). To be honest I kept it very quiet as I had not done any training (lots of reasons, new job, other commitments etc etc) and was therefore very concerned that I might not finish.
Much to my amazement I did it!!! And faster than last year (although it's not a race). I am aching everywhere and know that I will feel the pain tomorrow. At the moment I am on a high and have therefore decided to try and collect some sponsorship (I was just going to send in a donation to the appeal - which I'll still do). I know that there are a lot of appeals at the moment with the two natural disasters (Burma and China) so will understand completely if you've already made lots of donations this month. However, if you can spare a few pounds I will be very grateful.
I really mean it when I say never again this time!! Thanks a lot.
