Message from JC - Andy is a friend of over 35 years, stemming back to university days. Andy has been fighting cancer for 2 ½ years. Andy’s fitness and determination, born from his passion for running and cycling, has kept him going longer than most. Andy’s spirit and resolve, and that of his wife, Jo, since his diagnosis, have been inspirational to me. If I tell you that shortly after one series of punishing chemotherapy treatments, Andy ran a 10km race to raise funds for the hospital, then you will begin to understand why. Andy is from the Yorkshire Dales, and has often regaled us with accounts of his 3 Peaks triumphs … this being a running race for Andy not a walking marathon! So what better way to join the fight on Andy’s behalf than for two old mates, now well past their athletic prime, to tackle the 3 Peaks? There is no doubt that this is a big challenge for us and not an easy option, so please consider what Andy and Jo are going through and support us to raise money to fund research so that all of us may have better hope in the future.

Message from KC - I have know Andy since university, and have had many good laughs and times with him both in the UK and abroad. I am really upset that he is ill. A  Yorkshire lad he loves the area and we will complete the 3 Peaks challenge on 6 May to raise money for one of his chosen charities which has helped him during his illness. Whatever you can spare will be gratefully received. We are paying our own way so everything donated will go to the charity.
