Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
When I decided to run the Paris Marathon this year, I thought if I was going to go through that much pain then someone else ought to benefit from it as well!
I decided to run for the Ituna Community Project (www.ituna.net), a Sheffield-based charity that I have supported for a number of years that works in partnership with a community in Kitwe, Zambia to educate orphaned and vulnerable children. They are building a new school, training teachers and starting businesses to support this work.
They have already done a fantastic job and completed phase 1 of the build but there is still more to do. Their work has such a massive impact on the lives and future prospects of the children in that area so please donate and change a child's life today.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Training Update
March - A fast Bath Half Marathon helped training last week. This week managed a 24.8 mile run which makes me think I can really do this now! 70 miles covered so far (updated 18/03/12).
February - 76 miles this month with my longest run at 18 miles. Lost a few training runs due to the snow and ice but back on track.
January - managed to rack up 82 miles this month which is more than double my previous highest monthly total!
