Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

UPDATE: The team completed the walk on Sunday May 4th with no major issues, but donations still very welcome. :O)

I'm not really a fan of walking. I'd rather be sitting, sleeping or even running than walking. I mean walking can be slowwww. It doesn't even feel competitive since everyone else is walking so painfully slowly. "Look - a tree", and then 10 paces ahead - "look, the same tree at a slightly different angle". You see, really really slowww. The figure in the picture on the left is actually moving to give you an visual indication of how slow walking is. And we've got 13 miles of the stuff!

Speed-walking you say?, Now that's sounds way too much like hard work.

Leaving bi-pedal limitations aside, we're doing this for the Dove House hospice since they have been very supportive to my immediate family in recent times. It's only right we try to give something back. My dad's helped organised the route for this walk, and me and the lovely Cath - my bride to be in 3 months (hopefully we'll still be talking at the end) - are taking a break from our normal Sunday hangovers to take part. Plus my bro' Steve and his better half Jenny have joined the party - he's got gaiters and everything.

I've donated using this site before, and it really is, as the default txt says "simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dove House Hospice will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you."

So, if you can, please sponsor me now.

Many thanks for your support.
