Hello and welcome to my fundraising page for Children with Cancer UK
Every day, on average, 12 families in the UK receive the devastating news that their child has cancer. A single child dying from cancer is one too many.
Children with Cancer UK is the leading national children's charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. Our vision is a world where every child survives cancer. Our mission is to improve survival rates across all types of childhood cancer and support children and their families to live better with and after treatment
IM BACK..!!
Here i am again after the madness of 2021 (which nearly half killed me..😅)... so now im at it again... I have gladly accepted a place for the London Marathon 2023 on Sunday the 23rd April for Children with Cancer UK... Im now 52 years old unfortunately..so sod it..!!! Im going for it for the last time...🤔😁
Its a mammoth task to complete and basically you have to write off a good few months of your life... but the feeling you get when you cross the finish line makes it all worthwhile and knowing youve helped some unfortunate kids along the way..
A few years ago some good friends of mine Mat & Julie sadly lost their daughter Maisie with brain cancer at the age of 4 years old... so its a very fitting and worthwhile cause...❤
So..If you see me running around the streets of Clacton-on-Sea or surrounding areas give me a bib or a shout...(nothing too harsh please)....as I'll need all the encouragement i can get..!!!

At Children with Cancer Uk we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together.Our vision is a world where every child diagnosed with cancer gets to ring their end of cancer treatment bell.

RESEARCH - CWC fund research into the causes and treatment of childhood cancers. We have accelerated breakthroughs to improve childhood cancer survival rates and find more effective treatments with fewer toxic side effects.
SUPPORT FAMILIES - CWC help families deal with the burden of a cancer diagnosis by working with other organisations to fund free accommodation close to hospitals and financial grant programmes to support families during their cancer journey. We also organise special days out, giving families a welcome respite from hospitals and treatment.
RAISE AWARENESS - CWC bring childhood cancer to the forefront by sharing children and their families’ experiences in the hope this will reduce delays in diagnosis, raise awareness of life-limiting side effects of current treatments and encourage greater funding of childhood cancer research.
