Story
On April 1st I will be starting a Round the World cycle journey from the Meridain point Cleethorpes.This is a lifetime ambition of mine and after taking the opertunity of retirement from Humberside Fire and Rescue Service the dream has now become reality. Also a very understanding wife helps.The journey will be totally unsupported unless I end up somewhere unstable and need to make a fast exit. Me oxo,my Dawes Super Galaxy, four panniers full of the latest lightweight equipment and tent will depart from Cleethorpes on April fools day and begin the first stage through Europe to Turkey. The second stage is from Turkey through Georgia to Azerbajan
The third stage will be through India Thailand laos Cambodia Malaysia and Indonesia
The fourth stage will be Australia
Stage five The Americas May have to be sometime in the future when I've saved some money
On the journey I will be using a combination of wild camping ,cheap hotels www.warmshowers.com, Fire Stations,the goodwill of locals I meet on the way and friends and family. So if anyone has a long lost cousin in some far flung place get in touch.
