Story

Thank you for supporting my fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support!

This November, I will be trekking 100km across the Sahara Desert, with a route through both hard, rocky terrain and hot sand.

Macmillan Cancer Support is my chosen charity fundraiser, as I have experienced first-hand the invaluable support that they provide in heartfelt times. Macmillan believe that how we treat people in their final months shows the value that we, as a society, place on life. Alongside their physical, financial and emotional support to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can, Macmillan provide end of life care influencing and services – helping people make informed decisions, addressing palliative needs and ensuring coordinated care and  carers are supported.

Travelling through landscape filled with peaks, palm gorges, sand dunes and oases, each night we will be camping under Africa’s star strewn skies as temperatures plummet to freezing. After trekking along the Tikertouachene River, our 100km challenge will be completed when we arrive in Ouarzazate, south-central Morocco.

Please donate generously to support Macmillan, to help them continue supporting many others by delivering their invaluable services.

Thank you!
