Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a finalist in Miss Wirral 2010(finals on 24th June), an official heat for Miss England 2010, I am required to raise money for The Variety Club - a charity that works to help improve the lives of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people up to the age of 19 years across the UK. Their work ranges from providing Sunshine Coaches and funding major hospital appeals to providing basic items that will improve the lives of individual children. Each year they donate electric wheelchairs, specialist beds, car seats, sensory equipment, standing frames and many other items that can change the life of a child in need.
To raise money I will be doing a gym triathlon - 5km run, 15km bike ride and 1500m swim, a 5km seaside run, selling charity football cards and a few other things to be confirmed, any ideas welcome!
Over the course of 2010, I intend to gain my amateur jockey's licence to compete in charity horse races at racecourses around the country and I am also aiming to do some 10km runs - ditching the excuse that "I am a sprinter, not a long distance runner!" I will also be trying to do some fundraising through my sports - horses, bobsleigh and motor racing.
Please donate generously for this good cause, not only will you be supporting my campaign to become Miss Wirral 2010 but you will be supporting a charity that does endless work to improve the lives of ill and disadvantaged children in the UK.
