At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Change of plan!

I WAS running the Sheffield Half Marathon for the Sheffield Branch of the Alzheimer's Society, who I work for, however I've managed to get an injury meaning unfortunately, I've had to pull out, despite the months of training and hard work. I'm extremely disappointed, but I want to do something else instead seeing as I've already raised so much money, so I'm going to do an abseil from St Mary's Church in Sheffield, on Saturday the 27th June. It may not require the level of preparation that I've had to put into doing the Half-Marathon, but dangling 40 metres off the side of that church is quite a frightening prospect in itself!

Dementia is a degenerative physical illness that causes problems with memory, thinking, speaking and every day tasks. It is NOT a natural part of the ageing process, and there is no cure.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Alzheimer's Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
