A dear friend and close brother of mine passed away recently and I am saddened by his passing. He has gone to a better place and Allaah chose my brother Bashir Osman to be returned to Him. Bashir was very active in the community and known for his charity work. He has inspired me to start my own fundraising and I pray that whatever I am able to raise he is rewarded for. The plight of the Syrians has been a severe struggle to say the least. Hundreds of thousands have been killed, millions have been displaced and are living in poor conditions, scavenging for scraps of food and drink. Human Appeal have done research in Syria and carried out a needs assessment which found that the Syrian people require bread which is a basic staple of their diet. Green Lane Masjid are working with Human Appeal to provide FREE bread for up to 12 million Syrians.
