Those of you who seem to want to see MORE from me than simply completing a 10k will be enthused to hear, that in a pledge to raise more funds for Cecily's Fund I am attempting to run the 10k in under 55 minutes. I hope this will be enough to spur on any doubtful sponsors! wish me luck!
Once again I am running ten kilometres through the streets of London to raise money to support orphans in through education. All the money raised through your sponsorship will go to Cecily's Fund, a fantastic charity founded by my Aunt and Uncle over ten years ago. A few years ago I visited and met many of the students who have been supported by Cecily's fund. It was fantastic to meet so many people my age whose lives have been hugely improved through the work of Cecily's fund. You can read more about the charity on www.cecilysfund.org.
Last year’s event was the first time that I have ever run more than a few miles and I loved it so much I’ve been running ever since. This year I’ll be running with my boyfriend Tim but I’m aiming to run past him in the first ten minutes!
Any support and sponsorship you can give me will be very gratefully received.
Donating through this site is very easy and completely secure, it is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cecily's Fund will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
