Story
I've supported numerous causes by taking part in a number of London Marathons and raised thousands of pounds. This is my eighth's London Marathon, and over the years I have raised in excess of £20,000 to support various charities.
As many times before, I am running to support Ukraine whose needs are now larger than ever, as it fights for its land in the east while its people are making amazing efforts to change the society from within. Little noticed here, I've witnessed them personally on so many levels.
I am running to support a project which does a great deal for people
affected by the war (IDPs, war veterans, kids from the war zone). These
people are on the receiving end of it, and British-Ukrainian Aid is
doing a great job by helping them to improve their quality of life. One
of the important components of this project is the training of young
Ukrainians and equipping them with the skills necessary to provide
effective psychological support, work with traumas, fight stigma and
prejudice, encourage and empower.
Give these young leaders an opportunity to step up their skills thanks to the School of Social Leadership, based at the Taras Shevchenko's State University in Kyiv, Ukraine's capital. And see these skills feed directly into the needs of those affected by the conflict Ukraine never chose. See a few pictures from the School sessions below and check its Facebook page -

For those, who is new to this - JustGiving is the proved and efficient platform to donate saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
