Israel / Palestine children marathon · 7 May 2017

Children of Peace is a non-partisan, multi-faith charity dedicated to building friendship, trust and reconciliation between Israeli and Palestinian children, aged 4-17, and their communities. Its aim is to develop a shared spirit via arts, education, health and sports programmes, so future generations might live and work peacefully side-by-side.

Story

“It’s extraordinary how many people mistakenly believe that you can end the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by directing hatred at one side or the other.”

I am going to take on the biggest challenge I have done yet by running a marathon in Israel.

Dedicated to the children caught up in one of the most symbolic conflicts in the middle east who deserve at least some opportunity to overcome the problems they face. Education plays an important role in preventing children growing up to become part of the ongoing conflict.

All funds raised will go towards schools that bring Palestinian and Israeli children together in an effort to overcome the difference these people face. These schools are a great initiative in the face of perpetuating war.

My marathon will start in Tel-Aviv, Jaffa and will take me all the way to Netanya past Shmurat Hasharon via the Israel National trail.
