Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I have been planning for my Bristol – Budapest journey from April 2006. The idea of this ride was initiated after I displayed an inadequately detailed map of Europe on my wall. I approached my father for some advice as he had previously carried out two long distance cycle journeys in his younger years. After showing him the small map of Europe I had, he believed I wasn’t capable at planning such a journey. However days after planning my whole route I believe that he has come to see how dedicated I am and has now also given his full support and is certain I will be able to achieve my goal. I have been regularly training in the form of running and cycling and also have had a mini endurance cycle test by cycling from Land’s End to Bristol. This has convinced me that I am now fit enough to complete this dream of mine. As some of you may know I had a serious ablation procedure last year in November and after I feel better now. I decided to use this cycle journey to help support the causes at The British Heart Foundation and am personally delighted to support them. The charity organization is an important charity to me and many others. They are also one of the main sponsors of the London Flora Marathon. I am trying to raise money for the charity. If you wish you can donate online on this fundraising page, but if you would like to support The British Heart Foundation through me you can donate as small as £1.00 in the form of cash or a cheque headed for The British Heart Foundation. I will send all donations to them at the end of my fundraising. At the end of my journey I am happy to send you a couple of good photos - maybe a video presentation - that I will manage to take during my ride. I realise that this trip will have many ups and downs but it has been a life long wish to accomplish this journey for me.
