Arthurs Home to Home

Emily and Lucy Hubbard are walking to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance, in memory of their Grandad who sadly passed away last year.
Arthur John Beale (known as John) grew up in a little cottage in Old Hollow, Malvern and made a family home in St. Johns, Worcester with his wife Mair. He was a retired Engineer, most recently working for Metal Castings Ltd on Droitwich Road.
"He was just the most lovely man. I'll forever miss his advice, quick wit and endless kindness and support. We wanted to do something positive in his memory." Emily Hubbard
Joined by other members of John’s family, friends and colleagues, Emily and Lucy pledge to walk the 8 mile distance between John’s childhood home and his family home 81 times during 2020, one walk for each year of their Grandad’s life. Starting on what would have been his 82nd birthday, they plan to complete the challenge on the 10th December to mark the anniversary of the day he died.
“That day... the Midlands Air Ambulance team were nothing short of amazing and as a family we couldn’t have asked for more.” Lucy Hubbard
"You never know when you or someone you love will need them. We have masses of respect for what they do and are just hugely grateful." Emily Hubbard
The Midlands Air Ambulance have responded to over 2000 call outs in the past year, each one costing an average of £2500. They rely entirely on the support and generosity of local people and businesses.

"Grandad would have been very proud, I'm sure he will be encouraging them on every step. " Janet and Graham Hubbard
