We fund research into type 1 diabetes to find a cure for type 1 diabetes

Story

Thanks for visiting Cara's fund raising page.

This September is the third year anniversary of Cara being diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. During that time we have been blessed with fantastic care from her medical team at UCL-Middlesex Hospital and the UK organisation of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. As a family we have become involved with helping JDRF UK raise funds for research. In fact, Dylan just worked in the JDRF office for a week. Diabetes is a dreadful disease. There is still no cure and the day-to-day management is arduous. Long term complications can be great, although hopefully with good control, will be minimised. We are raising money to find a cure to free Cara and others like her from the daily grind of blood tests, insulin injections and  potential harm to her body. This is our one big fund raising effort this year, so please if you are able to donate, we would all be so grateful. We would love it if any of you would like to join Team Cara and walk with us in beautiful Greenwich Park on September 21.

If you cannot donate through Just Giving please send a cheque to me at: 58 Frognal, London NW36XG

Thank you so much, Ash, Bruce, Dylan, Kyle and Cara XXOO
