Ym Mis Medi bydd Ysgol Treganna newydd yn agor ar ol ymgyrch hir - many people have campaigned for a new Welsh-medium primary school in the west of Cardiff  for a very long time.

In September it finally opens, taking in pupils from two schools - Ysgol Tan yr Eos and the current Ysgol Treganna.

This weekend, July 5th - 7th, a group of staff, parents and supporters are cycling from Machynlleth in Powys to Cardiff.

I've never cycled more than 5 miles in my life so it's going to be quite a challenge.

This weekend also marks two years since the death of my brother Naresh who died after many years living with mental health issues. 

For me this bikeathon is a celebration of the staff and children of Treganna and Tan yr Eos - but also the life of my brother.

We're starting in a great town that is still remembering.

Times continue to be difficult for all of us - this isn't a charity ride - but if you wish to make a small contribution to Mind - I'll be very thankful.
